WHO WE ARE
Lucky Kat TV is an inspirational and educational gaming and video website designed to entertain your child in a safe and creative environment.
Good self esteem can empower children to achieve any goal they set. Goals and dreams start with ideas. At Lucky Kat, it is our desire to encourage kids to use their imaginations and develop their ideas no matter how big or how small. It’s not the size of the dream that matters; it’s learning how to create a plan to achieve them. Kids will learn how this relates to something as simple as mastering a new game, creating their own island paradise to making their own video content for LKTV.
WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL LEARN
As a guest, your child can play fun games and activities, many of which are wrapped in educational lessons that meet National Academic Standards.
As a Lucky Kat Klub Member, your child will navigate his or her way through each of the 7 continents of the world while playing fun & challenging games about the region they are exploring. Our cruise ship games also showcase environmentally responsible themes and enhance your child’s reading comprehension skills.
HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT THAN OTHER EDUCATIONAL WEBSITES
In additional to reinforcing fundamental academics, Lucky Kat TV teaches children critical thinking skills through “Lucky Kat’s 4 Steps to Success”, also known as Six Sigma for Kids. Lucky Kats, Inc., in consultation with internationally renowned Six Sigma and “The Great Discovery” author Dr. Mikel J. Harry, have created “The World is Your Oyster” (WIYO) program. This program teaches children the road to success is paved with 4 simple but important steps:
- DO THE DREAMING (Dream)
Create your own dreams! They can be big or small but they all start as ideas! - DREAM THE DOING (Believe)
Have faith in yourself and believe you can accomplish them! - PLAN THE DOING (Plan)
Make a step by step plan on how you will accomplish your dream! - DO THE PLAN (Do)
Go for it! Follow your plan and make it happen!
VIRTUAL WORLD
Children have the opportunity to play in a Virtual World where they create their own Island Paradise. Once again, putting Lucky Kat’s 4 Steps to Success into action.
- Start with a DREAM or idea as to what they want to create and build
- BELIEVE they can earn enough coins to make it happen and create what they imagined
- PLAN each step on what to play, buy and use to create their paradise, including what order they should do it in
- DO it! Dive right in and start playing. It doesn’t take them long to realize how important it is to have goals and a plan to create the perfect island paradise.
LKTV
The Lucky Kat TV experience also includes the opportunity to put the “Lucky Kat’s 4 Steps to Success” into action through video. Kids are encouraged to use the 4 steps to create their own video content for Lucky Kat’s online television station, LKTV. This interactive element offers youth a productive and responsible way to participate in video sharing on the web in a safe, one way environment.
VIDEO CONTENT
If they can dream it, they can do it! The goal is to start with an idea and end with a video they can be proud of! Users will have 3 options when they upload a video:
- Password protected
- Viewable to Lucky Kat Klub members
- Viewable to the public

EXAMPLES
- Interview one of their heroes using “Lucky Kat’s 4 Steps to Success”
- Report on actual or make believe events
- Explain and demonstrate a school project
- Write and star with their friends in a short play
- Make a commercial about a real or made up product
- Demonstrate playing a musical instrument

Ooh good post. Let’s talk about this stuff. 1. My son is 10, when he’s onnile he’s in a room with me. He uses a laptop and that keeps it easy.2. My daughter is almost 13 she does not use her real name on line, almost none of her friends do.3. There are girls in middle school taking pictures of themselves in bikinis. Although it’s sad, no one is surprised by their actions. I’m pretty sure the moms reading your blog have walked through this stuff with their kids.4. Every computer has parental controls, use them.

Thank you, Jessica. These are great adidtions. Still floored when I find crap like this!!I also think it is super important to teach our boys to not ask for pictures. If we start with teaching respect it may help. (I’d be sad to find my daughter online, and just as sad if I found either child encouraging others to post bikini-shots )
